Weekly Photo Challenge: Split-Second Story

Sunday afternoon, young man, cigar, lighter, cold beer, sitting alone in a cemetery..
What’s the story..

The story is a Grandson visits his Grandfather’s grave once a month to have a cigar, drink a beer and chat.
He is a returning veteran and this keeps him balanced.

When Great Trees Fall

“And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed”

-Maya Angelou from “When Great Trees Fall”
