Christopher, you are so right about the joy & frustration.. sometimes I get the shot exactly how I see it other times (like this) it is a wee blurry but the subject matter grabs me.
I had been watching & waiting for him to look my way and when I did of course that’s when I jerked the camera..lol
They were two dandies for sure..even matching Polo shirts!
I totally agree that it’s about capturing the moment. You really caught a moment here Lynne!
I wonder if the big guy had on the same tie and coat when they left the house (or wherever)?
To be honest the clarity could be better but I got so excited when the little guy looked my way I snapped & snapped pictures..
(See, I’m trying to get up front on street shots like you taught us 🙂
It’s a great shot, their character overcomes any technical challenges. That is the joy and frustration of street photography.

Dunno why you’d worry about either clarity or composition with this one – and it’s a candid, for crying out loud ! I reckon it’s a terrific shot !

In hindsight, I wish I had not have moved when the little man looked at me.. soon as he did I got all excited and bam, big time blur 😉
Thanks MR!

I once read many of the best street photos aren’t perfect in clarity. It’s all about capturing the moment – a little blur is usually no problem..

I think it’s a great street photo. I love the expression of the little guy – and the fact that both have pink shirts.
