New Orleans..There is a thread of music that floats along every street corner.. It is unavoidable and so ingrained in the culture here, it becomes a part of every person that walks those streets.
I encountered these fine musicians on my visit this week:
Royce from the New Creations Brass Band played for me as I walked through Treme
Guitar Man on Royal Street wore a 3 piece suit and never broke a sweat..class
Jackson Square trio that gave me one of my best concerts ..ever
Robert played me a happy beat on the banks of the Mississippi River
Music is New Orleans and New Orleans is music

Already, you are making me want to go back to New Orleans. (grin) But Peggy and I will wait until you are situated so you can show us the city from your perspective!

Oh yes..that sounds like mad fun and I would gladly welcome you to my home and the city as I know it.. this past trip my daughter and I walked almost everywhere (ok, we took the streetcar too) because that is how you really get to know (or re-know) a town..

That’s how Peggy and I like to visit a city as well. Walking was by far our main form of transportation on our recent trip to Europe. It would be fun to meet you on your own turf. š

Absolutely.. sometimes a taxi or bus is needed but 90% of the time I tour on foot..I would be honored to be you and Peggy’s tour guide š

Well one thing for sure, there is always someone going somewhere, doing something there, so yes, shots a plenty. I need all the practice I can get so hopefully this time next year my shots will show improvement.. will be loads of fun trying!!

My favorite is the man in the suit because of the contrast between how he’s dressed and the fact that he’s playing music along the street.
